Wibe move all its Wire Trays activities to Mora

Wibe today announces that the company has decided to close down the plant in Anderstorp and move all its Wire Trays activities to Mora during spring 2009.

This is to consolidate all Wibe activities in one plant which will create synergies in production and distribution.

Our overall objective is to continue to develop our range of Wire Trays, as well as Wibe’s total range of Cable Support Systems which together is a central and important part of Schneider Electric’s offer to its customers. Consolidation of Wibe’s activities under one roof will result in even better conditions to focus on our core business and to better serve our customers.

The decision has been taken since Wibe’s mast activities are phased out due to the recent Management-Buy-Out that frees space at the production site in Mora. Wibe has therefore decided to close the site in Anderstorp and concentrate all activities to Mora which will result in synergies in production and distribution as well as a cost saving. The transfer will start immediately to make the transition as smooth as possible and is planned to be finished in June in order to secure the business before the vacation period.
